has always enjoyed flying airplanes and helicopters as recreation, and feels privileged to call flying and flight instruction his career as well! As a professional pilot and a flight instructor at Hammer Helicopters, it is his foremost duty and goal to train his students in the safety, joy and adventure of becoming a helicopter pilot. He is dedicated to sharing the thrill of aircraft piloting, and helicopter tours with his students and clients.
's credentials and qualifications include:
A Private Pilot's license for fixed wing, and a commercial pilot's license for rotorcraft. He is instrument rated for rotorcraft, and is a certified flight instructor (CFI) with an instrument rating (CFII). He has fulfilled the requirements of the Special Federal Aviation Regulations (SFAR) to teach in both the R22 and R44 helicopters. He also has considerable time as a CFI/CFII teaching in the Schweizer 300C, and is currently working toward an ATP rating.
Kyle Steelhammer

Kyle brings a wealth of helicopter experience to Hammer Helicopters. He spent ten years working as a helicopter logistics specialist for his family's business before coming on board at Hammer Helicopters. His experience and his love for aviation, especially rotor craft flying, drive his passion for training our students to become exceptional pilots.
Kyle's Credentials and qualifications include:
Completed flight training: (August 5, 2005 through October 17, 2006). He is a Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII), and has fulfilled the requirements of the Special Federal Aviation Regulations (SFAR) to teach in both the R22 and R44 helicopters. Additionally, he is also qualified to instruct in the MD 500, is on-track to obtaining an ATP rating and aspires to becoming an A&P Mechanic.
